CATL is moving forward with plans to expand its operations in Europe, aiming to increase its presence in the region next year.

CATL is also considering establishing a wholly-owned cathode materials facility in Morocco to supply its European battery plants. 

Chief Technology Officer Gao Huan of CATL’s e-car division unveiled the Shenxing Plus during the first media day of the Beijing auto show.

Under the agreement, CATL will provide lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to Stellantis, known for brands like Jeep, Peugeot, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo.
