The TVS Apache RTR 310 was launched in India in September 2023 at INR 0.243 million, making it slightly more affordable than its fully-faired sport bike sibling, the Apache RR 310.
In India, the RTR 310 competes with rivals like the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the Triumph Speed 400.
The RTR 310’s lightweight aluminium trellis frame also resembles that of the RR 310. The rear subframe is different as it rises sharply towards the pillion seat and tail section.
Powering it is the same 312cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that powers the Apache RR 310. However, in the RTR 310, it develops 35.6HP and 28.7Nm, which is about 1.6HP and 0.7Nm higher than its stablemate.
Feature offerings include all-LED lighting, five ride modes, heated and cooled seats, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a bi-directional quickshifter.
The RTR 310 can also be customised via TVS' Built to Order (BTS) program. Under the BTS packages, the bike can be specced with additional features like adjustable suspension, race-tuned dynamic stability control, and linear stability control, to name a few.
The engine transmits power via a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.
The RTR 310 gets fully digital instrumentation as standard, in the form of a landscape-oriented 5.0-inch TFT screen, unlike the portrait-oriented TFT screen on the RR 310.
