The Daytona moniker is back! Triumph Motorcycles pulled the wraps off the Daytona 660 middleweight sports bike – the brand’s first all-new fully-faired offering after the original Daytona 765.
It is powered by the same 660cc three-cylinder engine as the Trident but delivers 17% more power and 9% more torque – 95PS @ 11,250rpm and 69Nm of peak torque @ 8,250rpm.
Power is delivered through a six-speed gearbox and Triumph’s Torque Assist clutch ensures a progressive and light lever action.
There are over 30 genuine Triumph Accessories available to customise the Daytona 660.
Twin 310mm floating front discs with four-piston radial callipers and a single 220mm fixed disc with a single piston sliding calliper at the rear. There is also a Continental ABS modulator on offer.
Split rider and pillion seats, with a rider seat height of 810mm (adjustable to 785mm with low seat accessory).
The bike rides on 41mm Showa USD separate function big piston (SFF-BP) front forks (110mm wheel travel) and a Showa monoshock RSU, with preload adjustment (130mm wheel travel).
Rides on five-spoke aluminium alloy wheels shod with new Michelin Power 6 tyres.
It gets a brand-new exhaust for a bespoke sports soundtrack.
The multi-functional instruments feature a colour TFT screen integrated into a white-on-black LCD display.
