The front of the Hilux has been completely redesigned with a new three-dimensional grille and front bumper.
The styling is further enhanced by new front and rear LED light clusters, new 18-inch machine-finish black alloy wheels, and the addition of a new exterior colour, Bronze metallic.
The new Hilux range gets a new, more powerful 2.8-litre diesel engine. The 2,755cc DOHC unit develops 201bhp @ 3,400rpm and 500/420Nm torque.
The six-speed gearbox has also been upgraded. It now benefits from a lock-up range, which has been expanded in the 4th, 5th, and 6th gear positions.
With the new 2.8-litre unit equipped with the automatic transmission, the Hilux accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 10.7 seconds, 2.1 seconds faster than the existing 2.4-litre unit.
The comfort and driveability of the new Hilux have been enhanced through improvements to the suspension and power steering systems. The suspension benefits from front and rear shock absorber tuning.
At 5,325mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,815mm high, the new Hilux Double Cab ‘Invincible’ is 5mm shorter and 45mm wider than its predecessor.
The upgraded interior features a new driver's combimetre design, and a new 8-inch centre console-mounted infotainment screen which adopts mechanical buttons and dials for enhanced operability.
The Hilux offers an impressive ground clearance of 310mm (double-cab configuration), approach and departure angles of 29 and 26 degrees, respectively, and 700mm water wading depth.
