The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE was launched in India at an introductory price of INR 1,030,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s available in three colours.
At the heart of the motorcycle is Suzuki’s new parallel-twin engine. The 776cc, DOHC liquid-cooled engine produces 84.3PS @ 8,500rpm and 78Nm of torque at 6,800rpm.
The V-Strom 800DE’s off-road credentials are bolstered by 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels shod with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres, fully adjustable Showa suspension with 220mm travel, and 220mm of ground clearance.
The motorcycle offers plenty of electronic rider aids, such as Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), G (Gravel) mode, ride-by-wire electronic throttle, dual-mode ABS, and a bi-directional quick shift system.
The V-Strom 800DE adopts a custom five-inch colour TFT multifunction instrument panel and all-led lighting.
In India, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE competes with models like the Honda Transalp 750 and the Triumph Tiger Sport 850.
