The updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 was launched in India in 2021, with prices starting from INR 0.184 million.
One of the most significant changes on it is the replacement of the 346cc UCE engine with a new J-Series 349cc fuel-injected motor. The engine made its debut on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, but it gets its own ignition timing, exhaust layout, and fueling map on the new Classic 350.
It also gets an updated instrument cluster that gets an LCD for the first time, and two trip meters.
The bike continues with the signature tear drop-shaped fuel tank that offers a 13-litre capacity.
The bike also gets updated lighting but sticks to halogen bulbs. The updated switchgear has been borrowed from the Meteor 350.
Apart from the entry-level variant, all others get dual-channel ABS as standard. The braking hardware consists of a 300mm front disc and a 270mm rotor at the back. The single-channel ABS variants get a drum brake at the rear.
Chassis updates on the 2021 Classic 350 come in the form of a new twin downtube frame and a thicker 41mm telescopic fork with 130mm travel. The ground clearance has gone up by 35mm, to 170mm.
The new engine also meant the departure of the old pushrod-valve system in exchange for a new SOHC twin-valve head. The motor develops 20.3HP and 27Nm of torque.
The range-topping Chrome variant gets the Royal Enfield’s Tripper navigation display as an optional extra, which works via Google Maps data.
