The Renault Kardian is a compact urban B-segment vehicle featuring the brand’s new “Nouvel’R” logo and a new signature lighting pattern.
The Kardian is 4.12 metres long and sits on a new CMF modular platform. Renault claims to make as many as eight models on this architecture.
On the safety front, the Kardian is equipped with six airbags and 13 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Renault will manufacture the Kardian at the Curitiba plant in Brazil, followed by the Casablanca plant in Morocco.
Meant for non-European markets, the Kardian will go on sale in South America first with a 125HP/220Nm 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and six-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
The all-black cabin features an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.
Inside, the highlight of the dashboard is a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, which supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
