Codenamed C10, Utopia is Pagani’s third production supercar. It debuted in September 2022.
Its active aerodynamics, combined with the electronically controlled shock absorbers, ensure the optimum dynamic behaviour in all driving conditions.
For the Utopia, Pagani went on to develop a new type of A-class carbon fibre specifically for aesthetic applications such as the bodywork, providing 38% of additional stiffness with the same density.
The forged wheels have a turbine-shaped carbon fibre extractor which draws hot air away from the brakes and reduces turbulence under the body. They are wrapped in bespoke Pirelli PZero Corsa tyres – the latter even feature the Utopia’s silhouette imprint on the sidewalls.
Powering the Utopia is Pagani’s 5,980cc 60° bi-turbo V12, exclusively developed by Mercedes-AMG for the Italian carmaker. The engine output is rated at 864bhp and 1,100Nm.
Like its predecessors, the Utopia continues with all-analogue instrumentation. Further, each of the dials subtly reveals part of its mechanism as if it were revealing the skeletal movement.
Pagani approached Xtrac to develop the Utopia’s conventional seven-speed manual gearbox. However, the car is also available with a seven-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
The signature titanium quad exhaust has been carried over to the Utopia. It has a ceramic coating, to dissipate the heat efficiently. The complete system sets a weight benchmark by weighing just over 6kg.
