The Mantis is the debut electric vehicle from Orxa Energies, a Bengaluru-based energy systems startup.
The Orxa Mantis is available in two colours, Jungle Grey and Urban Black.
It gets ByBre braking hardware, single-channel ABS, and disc brakes on both ends.
An 8.9kWh proprietary Orxa 5145 battery pack sits inside a IP67-rated hybrid aluminium case.
The Mantis comes with a five-inch TFT display with Linux-based Orxa operating system. The cluster also supports Bluetooth and Mantis App connectivity.
One of the most unique styling elements of the bike is its Praying Mantis-inspired dual-bulb LED headlamp.
The Mantis features a split-seat layout. The all-aluminium rear subframe also adds to the bike's visual appeal.
The Mantis gets a rear monoshock with preload adjust and 41mm telescopic front forks.
Despite its relatively steep price tag, the Mantis offers a basic list of features. For example, there is no smart key on offer.
