The first-ever iX2 is the all-electric version of the BMW X2 SAC. Both models will be produced on a single assembly line at the BMW Group Plant in Regensburg, Germany.
The iX2 features a dual-motor setup (one on each axle) that generates a total output of 308bhp and 494Nm of torque.
The iX2 xDrive30 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds on the way to a top speed of 180km/h.
Two-zone automatic climate control, BMW Maps navigation system, and a Sport leather steering wheel all come as standard on the iX2.
The iX2’s luggage capacity ranges from 525-1,400 litres.
Fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology offers a 64.8kWh battery pack that enables a driving range of 417-449km, as per the WLTP test cycle.
The car rides as standard on 17-inch aero-optimised light-alloy wheels.
The rear styling of the iX2 remains more or less identical to the X2’s. Of course, the apron design has been changed due to missing exhaust pipes and the spoiler shape differs as well.
The iX2 supports DC fast charging at up to 130kW, while the standard onboard AC charger can do the job at 11kW, charging the car from zero to 100% in about 6.5 hours.
