The all-new second-generation AMG GT Coupé is based on a composite aluminium structure and shares no body panel with its predecessor.
The vehicle will be available as an AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé with 585PS output in October 2023 and as less-potent AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé with 476PS output in July 2024.
For the first time the AMG GT is available with all-wheel drive, AMG Performance 4MATIC+.
Merc’s flagship sports car is powered by a reworked version of the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with two twin-scroll turbochargers and a nine-speed automatic gearbox. A wet starting clutch replaces the torque converter.
The AMG GT features a multi-link front and rear axle and aluminium control arms all around. To reduce weight, all of the chassis control arms, steering knuckles and wheel carriers on the front and rear axles are made of forged aluminium.
The AMG Active Ride Control semi-active roll stabilisation works without lateral stabilisers and offers advantages in terms of driving dynamics and comfort. Active rear-axle steering is also available as standard.
The 11.9-inch vertically-set infotainment touchscreen is the functional and visual centrepiece of the AMG GT’s dynamic cabin.
The new dimension concept with optional 2+2 seats helps improve everyday usability.
The AMG GT offer up to 675 litres of luggage capacity, with folded rear seat backrests.
The new AMG GT comes standard with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle, which ensures outstanding traction and maximum driving safety in all driving conditions.
