The new Tucson is the fourth generation of one of Hyundai’s best-selling models.
A multi-layered dashboard features a broad ridge that blends consistently with the doors, wrapping around front occupants. A vertically oriented fascia takes centre stage as the command centre.
Tucson has sold more than seven million units sold across the globe since its 2004 launch. Of these, 1.4 million units have been sold in Europe.
The new Tucson also offers ambient mood lighting, which is adjustable to 64 colours and ten levels of brightness.
The new Tucson offers a range of powertrain options with petrol (2.5-litre Smartstream), petrol hybrid, and petrol plug-in hybrid engines (1.6-litre).
Tuscon’s face is immediately recognisable by the unique half-mirror-type daytime running lamps (DRLs) that are assimilated seamlessly within the parametric grille and only visible when illuminated.
The new exterior styling is an evolution of Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design philosophy, featuring ‘Parametric Dynamics’ with kinetic, jewel-like surface detailing.
The parametric design theme carries over to the rear, where the full-width tail lamp incorporates half-concealed triangular shapes that are visible when illuminated, echoing the DRL theme in front.
The fourth-generation Tucson also comes with Hyundai’s multi-mode HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system.
