The new BMW R 12 is a classic cruiser meant for cool and relaxed biking, with a less aggressive riding posture than the R 12 nineT.
The R 12’s steel tank features a classic teardrop shape and forms a descending line in combination with the standard solo seat and the curved, low-mounted rear wheel cover.
Both versions are powered by a 1,170cc twin-cylinder air/oil-cooled boxer engine. In the R 12 nineT, it produces 109HP at 7,000rpm and 95HP at 6,500rpm in the R 12. Both versions also get a new airbox fully integrated under the seat.
The R 12 is available in three colour schemes: Base paint finish Blackstorm metallic, surcharge colour Aventurine Red metallic, and Option 719 "Thorium" in Avus Silver metallic.
The new R 12 nineT is designed to be a classic roadster aimed at offering dynamic riding fun on winding country roads.
The aluminium fuel tank on the R 12 nineT features brushed and clear-coated side panels and is 30mm shorter towards the rear compared to the predecessor's tank.
The R 12 nineT is available in three colour schemes: Base paint finish Blackstorm metallic, surcharge colour San Remo Green metallic, and Option 719 "Aluminium" in brushed aluminium/Night Black solid paint.
