The Alfa Romeo Junior was revealed as the Italian brand’s third SUV and first series-production electric car.
It will be available exclusively in Europe, with either a hybrid (Junior Ibrida) or a fully electric version (Junior Elettrica).
The Junior Elettrica will be available in two states of tune, the standard version offering 156HP/260Nm and the Elettrica 240 Veloce offering 240HP/345Nm.
While both versions get different front grille designs, both feature Alfa Romeo’s new ‘3+3’ adaptive full LED matrix headlights.
Both versions are powered by a 54kWh battery pack. In the standard version, it can deliver a driving range of up to 402km (WLTP cycle).
It offers numerous optional driver assistance features like Level 2 autonomous driving, a 360-degree camera and parking sensors, and a 180-degree rear camera.
Inside, a fully digital 10.25-inch TFT screen and a centre touchscreen of the same size form the car’s instrument console and infotainment screen, respectively.
With 11kW AC charging, the Junior Elettrica reaches a full charge from 0 to 100% in 5 hours and 45 minutes.
The air conditioning vents are shaped as a quadrifoglio (four-leaf clover), a moniker reserved for the brand’s high-performance models.
Measuring 4,173mm in length and 1,535 mm in height, the Junior offers a boot space of up to 400 litres, claimed to be the most in its segment. Additionally, it is available with 18-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels.
