The Maruti Suzuki Swift recently went on sale in the UK. The new generation Swift brings a host of updates based on the ongoing underpinnings.
On the inside, the new dashboard is a mix of old and new design from other Suzuki models. Like the rest, the new Swift also features a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. Other highlights include toggle-based automatic climate control, twin-pot dial with TFT display and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Since the new Swift carries on with the older Heartect platform, its wheelbase remains the same as before, at 2450mm. However, it has gained more length and width while the height has gone done by a decent margin.
In order for a sporty interior cabin ambience, the Swift continues to feature black fabric seats and door cards. The space and other practicality bits remain more or less the same.
The heart of the new Swift is a 1.2L naturally-aspirated 3-cylinder engine that produces 82PS of power and 112Nm of torque. Suzuki claims that the new engine offers 8% better fuel efficiency than the last Swift.
