When the new-generation Mini Cooper 3-Door was unveiled last year, it was shown only in its electric E and SE variants. The brand has now revealed the petrol-powered Cooper C and Cooper S variants.
At the front sits a new octagonal grille with its filigree contours. The BMW Group's smallest radar sensor to date is positioned on the horizontal strut between the air intakes.
Typical Mini proportions are highlighted by the short overhangs and a short bonnet in contrast to the long wheelbase.
While horizontal LED daytime running lights underline the new appearance, they offer three selectable light signatures. Redesigned matrix rear lights refresh the design at the back.
Both variants, the Cooper S and Cooper C, will be available in Essential, Classic, Favoured, and JCW trims to expand customisation options. Depending on the trim, the MINI Cooper C and Cooper S will have different body paint finishes and interior trims.
The new steering wheel, the round OLED Display, the typical MINI toggle bar and the two-tone textile dashboard comprise the cockpit updates.
The Cooper S gets a 201bhp/300Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds. The less potent Cooper C is powered by a 154bhp/230Nm 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine and accelerates the vehicle from 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.
By folding down the rear seat in a 60:40 ratio, the luggage compartment can be flexibly expanded from 210 litres to provide a volume of up to 725 litres.
