The Silverado EV is developed from the ground up as a fully electric truck on GM’s Ultium EV Platform.
Inside, the RST First Edition gets a large 17-inch LCD infotainment screen paired with a neighbouring 11-inch driver instrument display.
The Silverado EV will be assembled in GM’s Factory ZERO, at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Centre.
When combined with the power bar (optional extra), the Silverado EV’s PowerBase charging system offers up to 10 power outlets, with a total capacity of 10.2kW.
The flagship RST First Edition includes features like four-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, a multi-flex tailgate with power release, and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance technology.
The RST and WT derivatives feature DC fast charging capability of up to 350kW, which can add about 100 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes.
A 40/60 split-fold second-row seat offers four configurations that allow users to haul gear or equipment while accommodating a passenger in the second row.
At the time of launch, the Silverado EV was available in two configurations, an RST First Edition and a fleet-oriented WT model.
With up to 754HP and more than 1,064Nm of torque available in max power mode on the RST First Edition, the 0-96.5km/h time is pegged at less than 4.5 seconds.
