Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd. (WIML), an Indian manufacturer of electric vehicles under the ‘Joy e-bike’ and ‘Joy e-rik’ brands, has secured a significant order worth USD 1.29 billion from Beulah International Development Corporation, a business integration company and EPC firm in the Philippines backed by RP Connect.

As part of this collaboration formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), WIML will deliver products from its existing portfolio, including electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers in commercial and passenger vehicle segments, and develop four-wheelers for commercial vehicles for the Philippines market.

The partnership aims to positively change the public transportation system in the Philippines with electric vehicles, creating new job opportunities and supporting the local economy. It aligns with the Philippine Government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), an initiative to replace outdated petrol and diesel vehicles with modern electric alternatives.

Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director of WIML, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting India’s emergence as a hub of electric mobility for the global market. The collaboration will allow WIML to introduce its cutting-edge electric two-wheeler scooters and develop a range of electric three-wheelers and mini trucks for the Philippines market.

Nadia Arroyo, President of Beulah International Development Corporation, emphasised the economic benefits of the collaboration, stating that Wardwizard’s EV solutions will transform public transportation in the Philippines and create new employment opportunities while bringing significant investment to support the local economy over the next 10 years.

Both WIML and Beulah International emphasised their commitment to the future of transportation in the Philippines and their willingness to cooperate with the government and local communities to drive this transformation.
