Vinfast has taken the wraps off the new VF-3 mini e-SUV and VF Wild electric pick-up truck concept at the ongoing CES 2024. The Vietnamese carmaker will begin accepting orders for the new VF-3 soon while the pick-up truck is still far off from its market launch.
After 6 months from its market launch in Vietnam, Vinfast is set to bring the new VF-3 mini electric SUV to the global market. The design of the VF-3 is very quirky and somewhat resonates with the Toyota FJ Cruiser, albeit in a smaller and all-electric form factor.
Starting with the dimensions of the VF-3, it measures 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width and 1,620mm in height. To set a bit of context, the Vinfast VF-3 is considerably larger than the MG Comet EV, which is another urban electric vehicle. The Vinfast VF-3 can travel for up to 200km on a single charge while carrying up to 4 passengers on board.
Other functions of the Vinfast VF-3 include a 10-inch-screen infotainment system fitted with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and full folding second-row seats that allow for the expansion of cargo space (total capacity of 550 litres).Â
The Vinfast VF-3 is already on sale in Vietnam and Vinfast will start accepting orders in the US soon. The EV maker will soon announce its specifications, features and prices before delivering to the customers.
Alongside the VF-3, Vinfast also took the wraps off its first pick-up truck, called the VF Wild. The truck measures 5,324mm in length and 1,997mm in width while the height of the concept is still undisclosed. The truck also features a folding mid-gate, which offers a class-leading bed length of up to 8 feet.
For its unique exterior design, Vinfast has joined hands with Australian design studio Gomitiv. The design has been developed for over 8,000 hours and involving many designers, boasts a striking “Fluid Dynamism” aesthetic that is uniquely designed for the VF Wild concept, inspired by the flowing motion of a superhero’s cape in the wind.
