UPES, a leading multidisciplinary university in Dehradun, has embarked on a transformative journey in collaboration with JSW MG Motor India through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership aims to equip students with cutting-edge skills and industry experience essential for the automotive sector.
The collaboration is part of the MG Nurture Program, designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by preparing students for the evolving job market. A key component of this initiative is the CAEV (Connected, Autonomous & Electric Vehicle) course, which will provide UPES students with in-depth knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) components. This course, integrated into the university’s automobile engineering curriculum, promises practical insights crucial for future automotive professionals.
JSW MG Motor India’s commitment extends beyond UPES, encompassing over 40 colleges nationwide with the goal of upskilling more than 100,000 students. The MG Nurture Program not only focuses on EVs but also covers Autonomous and Connected Vehicles, enriching engineering and diploma colleges across India.
Moreover, JSW MG Motor India has launched EVPEDIA, an innovative EV education platform aimed at enhancing digital resources and promoting widespread EV adoption throughout the country.
