Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) achieved robust domestic market wholesales of 20,759 units in July 2023, marking a 5% increase compared to the same month last year. The company’s new models, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross, along with enhanced production at the Bidadi plant, have led to its best monthly sales this fiscal year. Sales for the month also witnessed a 14% rise from June 2023, reaching 18,237 units.
The cumulative sales for the first four months of FY2024 stand at 71,653 units, reflecting a substantial 17% year-on-year growth compared to April-July 2022 (61,116 units). Combining both domestic and export market figures, TKM achieved an all-time high of 21,911 units in July 2023, setting a new record for the Japanese manufacturer.
Atul Sood, Vice-President of Sales & Strategic Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, emphasized the overwhelming response to their product range, attributing it to models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, New Innova Crysta, Camry, and the versatile Hilux. The new Glanza also continues to attract a fresh customer base.
Sood further expressed confidence in the company’s performance, given the favorable demand trends, mid-year sales data, and the increase in production due to a third shift operation. TKM anticipates a strong year ahead and is gearing up to meet the upcoming surge in demand during the festive season.
