Three Stellantis assembly plants in Europe have halted their production due to a strike at a plant run by supplier MA France.

The production has been halted for several days now. According to media reports,  “Three sites have seen a production halt since the start of the week”, out of which two are in France (Poissy and Hordain) and one in Britain (Luton).

The plant in Hordain makes vans and mini buses for Stellantis brands and Toyota.

MA France is a division of the Italian group CLN that specialises in stamped metal parts. This division produces components on a site in the northern suburbs of Paris previously used by PSA before it was shut down for good in 2014. Since then, PSA has become Stellantis after its merger with FCA.

According to Brahim Aitathmane, Head of the Force Ouriere union at Stellantis, the workers are most positively anxious about the plans to move production to Poland.

However, it has been reported that Stellantis is hoping to resolve the complications and the factory will resume production soon.
