Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has successfully clinched a substantial order from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for the supply of 1,350 units of the Tata LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis. The Tata LPO 1618, tailored for intercity and long-distance travel, adheres to BS6 emission norms, ensuring superior performance, passenger comfort, and an unmatched total cost of ownership (TCO). The order, awarded through a competitive e-bidding process, reinforces Tata Motors’ commitment to enhancing public transport efficiency.

In response to the accolade, Rohit Srivastava, Vice President & Business Head – CV Passengers, Tata Motors, expressed gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh State Government and UPSRTC for entrusting them with the responsibility of supplying a modern fleet of bus chassis. He highlighted the Tata LPO 1618’s robust build, quality engineering, and low maintenance, emphasizing its capability to deliver exceptional productivity, high uptime, and optimal total cost of operations. The phased supply of the bus chassis will align with the guidance provided by UPSRTC.
