Singer collaborates with Cornes to begin Japan operations

California-based luxury car restoration specialist Singer has announced a new partnership with Cornes Group to support clients commissioning Porsche 911 restorations in Japan. The announcement was made in Tokyo during a series of events for customers and media.

Singer is known for its meticulous restorations of air-cooled Porsche 911s, working closely with owners to create personalised masterpieces. The company has a global presence with partners in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

This new partnership will allow Japanese clients to consult directly with Cornes Group’s experienced luxury automotive team to discuss restoration options for their Porsche 911s. Singer’s existing clients and future owners in Japan will also benefit from wider access to expert in-country servicing and maintenance.

To showcase their restoration services, Singer and Cornes presented four cars representing each of Singer’s offerings: Classic and DLS services for naturally aspirated cars, and Turbo Study and DLS Turbo services for turbocharged restorations. Each Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer is unique, reflecting the owner’s vision for their Type 964 Porsche 911.

“Our mission has been to celebrate the brilliance and heritage of the Porsche 911,” said Singer’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Rob Dickinson. “We’re thrilled to be in Japan, where the 911 enjoys such a dedicated following. As our mission continues, we’re expanding the support we can provide for our clients. Cornes Group are luxury specialists with a deep understanding of the Japanese market, and it’s wonderful to have them by our side.”

Cornes Motors has been importing luxury cars as an exclusive distributor since 1964 and has been an authorised dealer since 2012. “We are proud to celebrate our 60th anniversary by starting our partnership with Singer, a leader in the world of luxury restoration and automotive sustainability,” said Cornes Motors President and CEO, Seigo Hayashi. “We are excited to bring the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer to Japan.”

“Our work is defined by a focus on beauty, craftsmanship and innovation,” said Singer’s CEO, Mazen Fawaz. “We’re delighted to be partnering with Cornes Group, who share our commitment to excellence, and excited to bring these incredible cars to new audiences around the world.”
