Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has initiated deliveries of its groundbreaking electric scooter, the Super EV – Simple ONE. The company will roll out deliveries in phases, commencing in Bengaluru, where it was officially introduced on May 23.
With an attractive starting price of ₹1,45,000 (Ex-Showroom, Bengaluru), the Super EV has garnered an impressive 100,000+ bookings. Powered by advanced engineering and cutting-edge battery technology, this 2-wheeler EV is poised to transform urban commuting and reshape transportation norms.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, expressed his excitement, saying, “We are elated to commence the deliveries of the Simple ONE, starting with customers in Bengaluru. We are all proud of the hard work and dedication of our team in creating a holistic product that is both sustainable and an efficient transportation option for our customers. We are confident that we will be successful in creating a delightful ownership experience for our customers and believe that Simple ONE will revolutionize the segment by creating a greener future.”
The Simple ONE boasts an impressive range of 212 km, making it the longest-range E2W (electric 2-wheeler) in India, ideal for daily commuting. Its indigenous and potent electric motor ensures swift acceleration, delivering a smooth and enjoyable riding experience. The vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features and smart connectivity options, solidifying its status as a futuristic mode of transportation. Notably, it is the fastest E2W in its category, accelerating from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. It also includes a thermal management system, developed in collaboration with IIT-Indore, to mitigate thermal runaways.
Customer satisfaction and efficient delivery experiences are paramount for Simple Energy. The company has established a robust distribution network and collaborates with authorized dealers for prompt deliveries and top-tier after-sales support. Further expansion is planned, with retail operations in 40-50 cities and a network of 160-180 retail stores.
Earlier this year, Simple Energy unveiled its manufacturing plant, Simple Vision 1.0, in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu, with an annual capacity of approximately 1 million units. Committed to research and development, Simple Energy aims to lead the global shift towards green mobility with more exciting products in the pipeline.
