Automotive and industrial supplier, Schaeffler India, has announced Hardevi Vazirani as its new Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective from February 13, 2024. Vazirani will succeed the retiring Satish Patel, who has served the company for three decades.
Having held multiple leadership roles within Schaeffler across the Asia Pacific and India, Vazirani boasts substantial experience, including overseeing significant initiatives such as the integration of Indian entities post-merger. In her latest capacity as Vice President of Strategy, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, she led key projects including the “Roadmap 2025” for the APAC region.
Reporting to Harsha Kadam, CEO and Managing Director of Schaeffler India, Vazirani’s qualifications include being a Certified Accounting Specialist from the Accovalist Institute, Germany. She has also successfully completed management programs from esteemed institutions such as INSEAD, Dukes, and IIM Bangalore.
Sumithasri Eranti, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Schaeffler India, praised Vazirani’s proven credentials and expressed optimism about her role. Meanwhile, Harsha Kadam, Managing Director and CEO of Schaeffler India, lauded Vazirani’s wealth of experience and welcomed her to the India leadership team. Kadam also extended gratitude to the retiring Satish Patel for his impactful leadership, which elevated the company’s stature, particularly in corporate governance.
