New Delhi: Royal Enfield, the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, announced its motorcycle sales figures for August 2023. The company recorded sales of 77,583 motorcycles during the month, representing a notable 11% growth compared to the same period in the previous financial year when it sold 70,112 motorcycles.
Domestic and Export Sales
In the domestic market, Royal Enfield sold 69,393 motorcycles in August 2023, marking a 10% increase from the 62,892 motorcycles sold in August 2022. These figures indicate the brand’s enduring popularity in the Indian motorcycle market.
For the export market, Royal Enfield recorded sales of 8,190 motorcycles in August 2023, reflecting a growth of 13% compared to the 7,220 motorcycles exported in August 2022.
Year-to-Date Performance
The company’s year-to-date (YTD) performance for the fiscal year 2023-24 showcases a consistent growth trajectory. In terms of domestic sales, Royal Enfield sold 3,42,626 motorcycles YTD, demonstrating an impressive 28% increase from the 2,67,063 motorcycles sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
However, in the export segment, YTD sales stood at 35,780 motorcycles, showing a decline of 22% compared to the 45,809 motorcycles exported in the previous fiscal year.
In total, the YTD sales figures for Royal Enfield in August 2023 amounted to 3,78,406 motorcycles, marking a commendable 21% growth from the 3,12,872 motorcycles sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

As part of its ‘Pure Sport’ initiative, the company introduced the Royal Enfield Track School in India.
