Porsche has unveiled upgraded versions of its flagship Cayenne SUV lineup, with a focus on the highly sought-after GTS trim for the 2025 model year. This iteration brings notable enhancements, catering to drivers seeking better performance and refinement.
The Cayenne GTS features a powerful 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, boasting an augmented power output of 500PS and 660 Nm of torque. Both power and torque figures of the new Porsche Cayenne GTS boast 40PS more power and 40Nm more torque than the older model. Acceleration is impressively swift, with the SUV achieving 0-100kmph in just 4.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 275kmph.
The Cayenne GTS borrows a few of its components from the range-topping Turbo GT. For instance, its front axle’s pivot bearings ensure more direct steering feedback. Additionally, the air suspension, standard on the GTS and optimally tuned, reduces ride height by 10 mm, enhancing stability and cornering capabilities. Optional active roll stabilisation further enhances handling precision.
A notable feature inherited from the flagship Turbo GT is the implementation of a separate water-cooling circuit for the all-wheel-drive system, enhancing performance under demanding conditions. Visually, the Cayenne GTS presents a distinct aesthetic, characterised by enlarged front air intakes, red brake callipers, and tinted headlights and taillights. The Sport Design Package, standard on the GTS, accentuates the vehicle’s sporty character with blacked-out exterior elements, including wheel arch extensions and window surrounds.
Interior refinement comes in the form of Race Tex microfiber upholstery, adorning key touch points such as the door cards, headliner, steering wheel, and seats. Alternatively, customers can select from Slate Grey or Carmine Red themes to personalise their cabin environment. Porsche is yet to reveal the prices of the newly-announced Cayenne GTS. Once launched, it will offer the choice of both SUV and Coupe body styles to its customers.
