Pininfarina B95 Hypercar: A Limited-Edition Electrifying Marvel

Crafted in an exclusive run of just 10 units, the Pininfarina B95 commands a remarkable price tag of 4.4 million euros (approximately Rs 39.86 crore) per piece.

In an electrifying revelation at the ongoing Monterey Car Week in the USA, Automobili Pininfarina has pulled the wraps off its groundbreaking creation, the B95 hypercar. This avant-garde masterpiece proudly wears the title of the world’s foremost pure-electric, open-top roadster. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with it are the exclusive Battista Edizione Nino Farina and the captivating PURA Vision SUV concept, capturing the collective imagination of automotive enthusiasts.

Crafted in an exclusive run of just 10 units, the Pininfarina B95 commands a remarkable price tag of 4.4 million euros (approximately Rs 39.86 crore) per piece. The nomenclature carries a symbolic significance, with the ‘B’ signifying its Barchetta (roadster) essence and the ’95’ paying homage to Pininfarina’s remarkable 95-year journey, set to culminate in 2025 when production and delivery of this hypercar marvel commence.

At the heart of the B95’s exhilaration, Paolo Dellacha, the CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, underlines, “B95 encapsulates the potency of Battista while redefining the sheer joy of driving. It’s a game-changer, an irresistible object of desire that introduces the thrill of electrifying performance in a stunning open-top configuration.”

Design Marvels of the Pininfarina B95

The B95 exudes an extraordinary Barchetta allure, where shelter from the elements is cast aside in favor of an unparalleled connection to the road. Unlike conventional windscreens, Pininfarina innovatively integrates electronically adjustable aero screens, reminiscent of vintage fighter planes, showcasing a pioneering feature that graces the B95 alone.

With design cues inspired by the captivating PURA philosophy, seen previously in the Vision concept SUV, the B95 showcases a distinct personality. Up front, a strikingly unique visage embraces vertical slats at the center, flanked by sleek headlights beneath. Absent of the traditional glasshouse, Pininfarina’s design team introduces the “surrounding loop” concept, seamlessly integrating the cabin, aero screens, and the head domes for a harmonious aesthetic. While the rear mirrors the iconic Battista silhouette with slim LED tail-lights, the B95 boasts its own distinct bumper and diffuser arrangement.

The B95 on display at Monterey exemplifies this unique vision with a lustrous Bronzo Superga metallic finish, adorned by vivid Giallo Arneis gloss accents. Embracing a tasteful dose of carbon-fiber elements, from the front splitter to the rear diffuser, it sits poised on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear matte black forged aluminum alloys. Notably, these alloys flaunt a black brushed aluminum center-lock ring, and Giallo Arneis-hued brake calipers provide an arresting contrast.

Customization takes center stage, allowing each of the 10 B95s to be an exclusive masterpiece, a manifestation of its owner’s individuality. Even helmets can be tailored to mirror the car’s unique specifications.

Unveiling the Enigmatic B95 Interior

While the B95’s interior shares common genes with the Battista, it boasts its own distinctive flair. The Monterey showpiece radiates a warm ambiance with tan sustainable leather upholstery, tastefully accentuated by brushed black anodized aluminum touches. The seats, inspired by classic race cars, embrace a two-tone scheme, featuring tan upholstery below and an elegant “Pied de Poule Houndstooth” fabric above.

Reflecting the car’s exterior customization possibilities, the B95’s interior can be tailored to match its owner’s preferences. From upholstery to stitching, even the laser-engraved aluminum skid plate can be personalized, ensuring a deeply personal connection between driver and machine.

Electrifying Performance, Futuristic Powertrain

Underpinning the B95’s electrifying performance is a potent powertrain akin to the Battista. A colossal 1,900hp and 2,340Nm of torque surge forth from its quad-motor configuration, tapping into a 120kWh battery pack. The B95 accelerates with breathtaking urgency, dashing from 0 to 96kph (0-60mph) in under 2 seconds, en route to a top speed that breaches the 300kph mark.

Offering a range of driving experiences, the B95 boasts five distinct driving modes – Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere, ensuring a dynamic encounter with every twist of the road.
