Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Italian auto giant Piaggio Group, has unveiled the highly anticipated Vespa 946 Dragon in India. This exclusive model, originally launched globally to mark the Lunar New Year as part of a special collection, arrives in India as a rare collector’s edition, available in limited numbers.
The Vespa 946 Dragon has been priced at INR 14.28 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be offered in India as Completely Built-Up Units (CBU), with enthusiasts and collectors alike able to book their own at any of Piaggio’s Motoplex showrooms across the country.
Inspired by the mythical dragon symbolising power and prosperity, the Vespa 946 Dragon combines Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Hand-crafted in Italy, the scooter features a striking dragon livery in emerald green, symbolising energy and strength. It boasts a 150cc engine, a metal-monocoque body, and a single leading-link shock at the front, complemented by stylish 12-inch wheels and a 220mm disc brake.
To commemorate its launch in India, the Vespa 946 Dragon comes with an exclusive Varsity Jacket. This fashion piece, Vespa’s first in India, mirrors the scooter’s design with a dragon motif in emerald green, ribbed wool, and Nappa leather sleeves. The jacket showcases intricate prints and embroideries, underscoring the scooter’s style and legacy.
