Odysse Electric Vehicles, a rapidly growing electric 2-wheeler manufacturer in India, has officially announced that its flagship electric motorbike, the Odysse Vader, has received certification from the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). The electric bike is scheduled to hit Indian roads in December 2023.
ICAT certification and features
The Odysse Vader has successfully passed all tests, including the AIS-156 battery testing, as part of the ICAT certification process. The bike comes equipped with a 7″ Android display that provides IoT connectivity and real-time Google Map navigation updates.
Powered by an IP67-approved 3000 Watts electric motor, the Odysse Vader boasts a top speed of 85 kmph and an impressive range of 125 km per charge. With a kerb weight of 128 kgs, the electric bike features a combi braking system (CBS), a 240mm disc brake at the front, and a 220mm disc brake on the rear side.
For efficient charging, the Odysse Vader is equipped with an AIS 156 approved Lithium-ion battery pack that can be fully charged in just 4 hours. The AIS-156 certification ensures fast charging capabilities, making it a reliable choice for daily commuting.
Variants and availability
Available in five vibrant colours—fiery red, venom green, misty grey, midnight blue, and glossy black—the Odysse Vader offers four driving modes. The company has scheduled deliveries of the bike to commence from December 1, 2023.
