Nvidia Founder Jensen Huang Wins Automotive Hall of Fame’s Mobility Innovator Award

Jensen Huang, the visionary founder and CEO of Nvidia, has been honored with the Mobility Innovator Award by the Automotive Hall of Fame for his transformative impact on the transportation sector through AI and accelerated computing. The award was presented during the institution’s 2023 Induction & Awards Ceremony in Detroit.

Nvidia, a leader in graphics-chip manufacturing for gaming, data centers, and self-driving cars, has been instrumental in reshaping the automotive landscape under Huang’s leadership. Huang’s journey began with humble origins. Born in Taiwan, he navigated challenges before establishing himself as a leading figure. His formative experiences, including time spent in a reform school, imparted a work ethic that propelled him to success. He cultivated interests in table tennis, video games, and computers throughout his youth. Graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University in 1984, Huang’s career led him to pioneering roles at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and LSI Logic before co-founding Nvidia in 1992.
