Electric bus maker NueGo has officially launched its ambitious Kashmir to Kanyakumari (E-K2K) electric bus expedition, marking a historic milestone in promoting sustainable mass mobility. This initiative positions NueGo as the first electric bus brand globally to undertake such a significant journey, covering over 4,000 kilometers from the heights of Kashmir to the southern coast of Kanyakumari.
The E-K2K expedition will traverse more than 200 cities and towns, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage while advocating for sustainability. Along the route, the electric bus will engage in various community initiatives, including student workshops, tree planting, clean-up drives, and safety-themed performances in cities like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bhopal, and Bangalore. These activities exemplify the expedition’s theme: “the E-bus that does good.”
The journey officially commenced in Jammu on October 4, with a flag-off ceremony held at NueGo’s depot hub in Ghaziabad. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Devansh Yadav, CEO of Jammu Smart City, and NITI Aayog advisor Sudhendu J. Sinha, attended the event to witness the launch of this groundbreaking endeavor.
Devendra Chawla, CEO and MD of GreenCell Mobility, welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of green mass mobility solutions.
