New Delhi: In preparation for the upcoming Grand Prix of India, scheduled to be held from September 22-24, the safety car and bike have made their way to the Buddh International Circuit. Arriving in New Delhi via air freight, these crucial safety assets were transported to the venue in the early hours of the day.
Essential Safety Equipment
A total of three safety cars, including the BMW M5CS, will be stationed at the Buddh International Circuit throughout the races. These safety cars play a vital role in ensuring swift medical assistance in the event of any incident during the opening lap of the race. Additionally, they are dispatched to assess track conditions whenever necessary.
Upcoming Arrivals
The remaining safety cars, namely the BMW M2 (G87) and BMW M3 Touring, are scheduled to arrive at the venue on Sunday. Joining them is the safety bike, the BMW M 1000 RR, which will also be an integral part of the race weekend at the Buddh International Circuit.
Race-Day Responsibilities
During the commencement of a race, the safety car takes its position at the rear of the grid. On the first lap, it follows closely behind the riders, ready to provide assistance if needed, before eventually returning to the pit lane.

The IndianOil Grand Prix of India, organized by FairStreet Sports in collaboration with Dorna Sports, promises to be a thrilling spectacle. With a total of 41 teams and 82 riders participating across various categories, including MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3, the event features renowned names like Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin.
