Minebea Mitsumi Receives Sixth Bosch Supplier Award for Excellence

Minebea Mitsumi Inc, the world’s leading manufacturer of miniature ball bearings, has been honored with the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2023 in the ‘Raw Materials and Components’ category. This recognition marks the sixth time that Minebea Mitsumi has achieved this prestigious accolade from Bosch.

Minebea Mitsumi commands a substantial market share of 60% and is acclaimed as the largest producer of miniature ball bearings worldwide. These unassuming yet vital components are essential in applications involving motion and rotation, boasting dimensions ranging from 1.5 to 32 millimeters in outer diameter.

Among its extensive network of approximately 35,000 suppliers, Bosch has selected 46 distinguished suppliers from 11 countries to receive awards this year. This marks the 18th instance where Bosch has celebrated exceptional contributions by suppliers in the domains of quality, cost-efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

Dr. Arne Flemming, Head of Supply Chain Management at Bosch, emphasized the vital role suppliers play in enhancing a company’s competitiveness and innovation. He stated, “Our award winners impressed us with their outstanding performance in the manufacture and supply of raw materials, products, and services. Especially in terms of quality, cost, and sustainability, we see them as leading the way.”

Matthias Wilhelm, Sales Manager of Ball Bearings, Europe, Minebea Mitsumi, expressed the team’s gratitude for receiving the award for the sixth time. He highlighted the challenges faced over the past years and underscored the team’s competitiveness, reliability, and collaborative approach.

The Bosch Global Supplier Award is presented biennially to recognize exceptional supplier performance on a global scale. The award underscores Minebea Mitsumi’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and partnership. Since 1987, Bosch has consistently honored excellence in suppliers through these awards, solidifying their significance within the industry.
