MG Motor India joins hands with Charge Zone to boost EV charging infrastructure

The joint collaboration aims to bolster the EV charging infrastructure across the country, including highways and MG dealerships.

Under the collaboration between MG Motor India and Charge Zone, both companies will work on establishing a robust and dependable electric vehicle charging infrastructure covering the key locations. These locations are said to include cities, highways and MG dealerships.

Furthermore, MG Motor India will also work in Charge Zone to form a preferential offer for MG EV customers. While these chargers will be open for all EV owners, MG EV owners could get added benefits like discounts. The chargers could be located via the Charge Zone mobile app, which claims to provide a unified experience for users to locate, access and pay for charging their electric vehicles.

“This strategic partnership reflects our commitment to sustainable mobility and our dedication to providing our customers with a seamless electric vehicle ownership experience”, said Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India.

Speaking further about the collaboration with Charge Zone, he mentioned, “Our meaningful industry associations and partnerships, including this substantive collaboration with Charge Zone, underscores our steadfast focus on building a charging infrastructure that supports the evolving needs of electric vehicle owners, providing them with convenient, efficient, and reliable charging solutions.”

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of Charge Zone said, “In the realm of electric mobility, the need for a reliable high-speed charging infrastructure is paramount. Our partnership with MG Motor India signifies a shared vision to overcome the challenges that accompany this transformation. Building a nationwide network of charging stations is not merely a task; it’s an investment in the future of sustainable transportation.”

MG Motor India further accelerates its commitment to offer an end-to-end charging infrastructure to its customers with a 6-way charging solution. The carmaker offers the option of home-based and dealership-based charging options. In addition, MG is said to have already established over 12,000 chargers across the country.
