MG Motor India has solidified its commitment to community welfare by forming strategic partnerships with the Government of Gujarat. Under the MG Nurture program, the company has joined forces with ‘Kaushalya, The Skill University’ to empower students with relevant skills for the future. This collaboration involves upskilling 20,000 students across 25 colleges through hands-on training in Electric Vehicles (EV) and Connected Vehicles, preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow. The program extends mentorship, internships, and practical experiences to bridge the academia-industry gap.
In alignment with its MG SEWA initiative, MG Motor India handed over an ambulance (Mobile Medicare Unit: MMU) to the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board. MG SEWA focuses on holistic community development, promoting diversity, inclusion, and overall progress. Over four years, the initiative has catalyzed positive societal transformation through various endeavors. It supports children’s education, skill enhancement, sustainable employment for disadvantaged women, and healthcare services for underserved individuals.
During the global pandemic, MG SEWA extended its efforts by sanitizing vehicles for the elderly and generating employment opportunities for women, thereby ensuring their livelihoods. The program also aids local healthcare institutions and has contributed to the education of over 60,000 girl students. These initiatives reflect MG Motor India’s dedication to fostering equitable growth and making a meaningful impact in society.
