Mercedes-AMG has introduced the CLA 45 S Edition 1 in the US which is currently the flagship trim under the CLA model. It is exclusive since the lot is limited to just 25 units and you should hurry if your heart is set on its Mountain Grey Magno paint. The Edition 1 also brings a handful of exterior and interior enhancements, further boosting its appeal.
Befitting the orange in its name, the unique Mountain Grey Magno paint of the AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 features orange inserts around the bumper, air ducts, lip spoiler, brake callipers and side skirting. The package also features AMG Night Package Plus and AMG Aerodynamics Package with a larger front splitter and rear spoiler among other aerodynamic enhancements. In addition, the limited-run model also features 19-inch AMG lightweight alloy wheels with red brake callipers.
Moving to the inside, the AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 packs AMG performance seats with black microfiber upholstery with orange stitching. Its sports seats boasts of integrated headrests with CLA 45 S stitching in orange, further boosting the sporty quotient. The orange stitching can be seen across the dashboard and around the AMG steering wheel with nappa leather. Other interior highlights include red illuminated AMG door sill panels and Edition 1-specific lighting in red.
Coming to the heart of the AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1, it packs a handcrafted 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. It puts out 416PS of power and 500Nm of torque and channels to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The CLA 45 S can sprint from 0-100kmph in under 4 seconds. It also comes packed with a rear differential with two electronically-controlled clutch packs that selectively channel power to the individual rear wheel as per the driving conditions.
