Mahindra Thar ROXX, XUV 3XO, XUV400 secure 5-Star Bharat-NCAP ratings

Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a remarkable feat with three of its SUVs – the Thar ROXX, XUV 3XO, and XUV400 – earning the prestigious 5-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat-NCAP). This recognition underscores Mahindra’s commitment to building high-performance SUVs with a focus on top-tier occupant safety and advanced technology.

Thar ROXX: The SUV made history as the first body-on-frame SUV to achieve a 5-star Bharat-NCAP rating, attaining the highest score among ICE vehicles tested. It achieved a notable 31.09/32 in adult occupant protection (AOP) and 45/49 in child occupant protection (COP). The SUV is equipped with safety features like six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a comprehensive suite of Level 2 ADAS features including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning.

XUV 3XO: Mahindra’s popular C-SUV scored 29.36/32 in AOP and 43/49 in COP, establishing it as one of India’s safest compact SUVs. Built with high-strength steel, the XUV 3XO boasts 35 safety features, including a 360-degree surround view system and Level 2 ADAS capabilities, offering robust protection for families on the road.

XUV400: Mahindra’s first electric SUV, scored 30.37/32 for AOP and 43/49 for COP, solidifying its position as one of the safest EVs in the Indian market. The XUV400 includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a reverse camera, cementing its reputation as a safe choice for EV consumers.

These additions to Mahindra’s 5-star-rated family, which includes the XUV700 and Scorpio-N, reflect the company’s dedication to safety as a core value in SUV design. With these 5-star ratings, Mahindra reaffirms its role as a leader in automotive safety and innovation, setting new standards in the Indian SUV market.
