Kia EV6 Horizon
Starting with the EV6, the Horizon special edition of the electric SUV offers a long list of standard equipment at an attractive price point. It sits above the Air variant and offers automatic flush-fit exterior door handles, adaptive LED headlights, powered front seats, a wireless smartphone charger and a powered tailgate.
The Kia EV6 Horizon comes with a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain option as standard. It uses a 228PS rear-mounted electric motor, which draws power from a 77.4kWh battery pack. Kia claims that the EV6 could cover up to 527km on a single charge and its battery can be juiced up from 10-80% in 18 minutes, with the help of a 350kW fast charger. The EV6 Horizon comes with 3 exterior colour options, which can be specced with a standard black interior and 19-inch alloy wheels. The on-road price of the EV6 Horizon stands at GBP 45,995.
Kia Niro EV Horizon
Like the EV6, the Niro EV Horizon also bridges the gap between its lower and higher variants, while offering a good mix of features and value. Speaking of its key features, the Niro EV Horizon offers LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats and steering wheel, leatherette seat upholstery, power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless smartphone charging, blindspot collision avoidance assist and vehicle-to-load charging.
The Niro EV Horizon special edition offers a single powertrain option, which uses a front-mounted electric motor and a 64.8kWh battery pack. Its electric motor produces 203PS of power and can drive the electric SUV for up to 458km on a single charge. The Niro EV Horizon retails at GBP 37,995 and offers a choice of 3 colour options.
Kia has already started accepting orders for both the EV6 Horizon and Niro EV Horizon special editions whereas the deliveries of both SUVs will begin from January 2024 onwards. Moving forward, Kia commits to offer 15 electric vehicle models by 2027, including the EV6, Niro EV, Soul EV and the recently launched EV9.
