Goa-based electric vehicle startup Kabira Mobility has launched the second generation KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II electric motorcycles in the country at INR 1.74 lakh and 1.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Goa), respectively. The company has started offering test rides at select dealer points. Customers can book their test ride slots online via the company website. Deliveries of the motorbikes will commence from March.
Design highlights
The models have undergone design overhaul with a naked and futuristic look as well as addition of a frunk for additional storage. The KM3000 Mark-II model features an all-new projector headlamp with an improved night-time riding experience and safety for the user.
Performance highlights
These motorbikes feature an aluminium core 12kW hub motor powertrain that has been developed in collaboration with Foxconn. The powertrain delivers max torque of 192 Nm, top speed of 120 km/h and leads to vehicle acceleration from 0-40 kmph in 2.9 seconds.
Battery and charging highlights
Both the motorcycles come with a modular battery pack which promises a certified range of 201 kilometres. They get a high-speed 1.5kw on-board charger that facilitates faster charging, allowing the vehicle to juice up from 0 to 60% in under an hour.
Braking and suspension highlights
Both the bikes come equipped with segment-first Dual CBS and improvised braking thanks to larger disc brakes. Telescopic front fork and a mono shock rear suspensions by Showa offer an improved riding experience and stability.
Highlighting the USP of the models, the company’s CEO Jaibir Siwach, said that these models provide the longest range and are very powerful. “The biggest feature of the bikes are our partners like Foxconn, Showa, Jio which have enabled us to develop and launch (these machines) which will redefine the electric motorbike segment as we know of.”
