The throaty roar of the Jaguar F-Type has become a distant memory. After a decade of gracing roads around the world with its sculpted design and exhilarating performance, Jaguar has officially ended production of the F-Type, marking a poignant turning point for the British automaker.

This news comes on the heels of the 2022 F-Type 75 Special Edition, a fitting tribute that hinted at the F-Type’s imminent departure. But Jaguar has now unveiled the final chapter – a one-off F-Type that serves as a beautiful homage to the legendary E-Type and won’t be gracing any driveways.

This swan song F-Type boasts a stunning Giola Green exterior paint job, a deliberate echo of the very last E-Type to roll off the production line in 1974. A sleek black soft top complements the verdant exterior, while the interior is a testament to timeless luxury, draped in tan Windsor leather that perfectly replicates the E-Type’s final configuration.

The final edition F-Type poignantly serves a dual purpose: bidding farewell not just to the car itself but also to Jaguar’s beloved 5.0-liter V8 engine. This powerful heart pumps out 450 PS in this particular car, with even more potent SVR variants reaching up to 583 PS. As Jaguar sets its sights on an electric future, with its first electric GT car slated for arrival in 2025, this final F-Type marks the end of the road for the iconic V8 in Jaguar’s history. Instead of a roaring farewell, the F-Type’s swansong ushers in a new era of silent, electric propulsion for the brand.

This unique F-Type will find its final resting place not in a collector’s garage, but at the revered Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in the UK. Established in 1983, the trust serves as a custodian of Jaguar’s rich heritage, housing hundreds of rare models dating back to the late 1800s. The F-Type will join this esteemed collection, ensuring its legacy is preserved for future generations to admire.

The F-Type’s production run wasn’t without its share of celebratory send-offs. Special editions like the 75 Special Edition with its formidable 575 PS engine and the ZP Edition with its limited 150-unit production run and E-Type-inspired design elements kept the excitement alive. Additionally, the 2020 Heritage 60 edition brought back the beloved Sherwood Green paint, a nostalgic nod to Jaguar’s past and a reminder of the F-Type’s lineage.

In its decade-long run, Jaguar managed to sell a staggering 87,731 F-Types, surpassing the E-Type’s sales figures by a significant margin of 15,000 units. While production may have ceased, the F-Type’s legacy as a modern classic with undeniable beauty and thrilling performance is sure to endure. Admirers of the F-Type will be able to buy the performance coupe till early 2025.
