Nirmal Nair, a veteran in the automotive marketing and sales domain, will be joining Stellantis as the Head of Sales and Marketing for the India-Asia Pacific region, as confirmed by the company to ETAuto. Nair will report directly to Ashwani Muppasani in his new role.

After spending 14 years with Nissan, Nair took to LinkedIn to announce his departure from the company, where he served as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “After 14 remarkable years, during which I had the privilege of working with and leading teams across 8 diverse roles in 5 countries across 2 continents, it’s time to close this significant chapter in my life,” Nair stated in his LinkedIn post.

Nair’s journey with Nissan began in 2010 as the Marketing Operations Manager for Nissan Europe. In 2017, he advanced to the position of General Manager for Marketing Strategy and Planning. He played a crucial role in driving revenue for the company through sales and performance across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, collaborating with importer partners in 21 markets.

Nair began his career as a management trainee at FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) in 1997-1998. With his extensive expertise, he will now be responsible for driving growth for Stellantis in his new role.
