inDrive partners Evera Cabs to launch EV fleet with women drivers

inDrive's DrivingNaari program is aimed at empowering women by providing them equal opportunities in the driving profession.

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has forged a significant partnership with Evera Cabs to launch an electric vehicle (EV) fleet specifically tailored for women drivers in India. This collaboration forms a key component of inDrive’s DrivingNaari program, aimed at empowering women by providing equal opportunities in the driving profession.

Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communications Lead at inDrive, underscored the program’s mission to empower underprivileged women, enabling them to pursue professional driving careers that offer sustainable livelihoods. “Our DrivingNaari program not only equips women with the necessary skills but also provides access to remunerative opportunities with dignity,” Anand stated. Through this initiative, candidates are provided with vehicles financed by inDrive and can access commission-free rides on the inDrive platform. The partnership with Evera Cabs is expected to bolster inDrive’s expansion efforts in India, particularly in scaling its electric vehicle fleet.

Nimish Trivedi, CEO and Co-Founder of Evera, expressed enthusiasm about supporting women’s empowerment through this collaboration. “By offering co-branded services to DrivingNaari program participants, we are enabling women to achieve financial independence and take control of their careers,” Trivedi noted. The partnership aims not only to enhance individual drivers’ economic prospects but also to contribute to broader community growth and gender equality within the transportation sector.

This joint initiative between inDrive and Evera is poised to dismantle barriers and create new opportunities for women in the workforce, particularly in sustainable transportation. Evera, founded in 2019, has rapidly expanded its footprint in Delhi-NCR, focusing on reducing the carbon footprint through its fleet of electric taxis. The company recently secured significant funding to accelerate its growth and sustainability efforts, reflecting its commitment to advancing eco-friendly cab-hailing solutions.

In addition to its core ride-hailing services, inDrive operates in 749 cities across 46 countries, providing a range of urban services from intercity transportation to freight delivery and courier services. The company’s commitment extends beyond business success to social impact, aiming to positively influence one billion lives by 2030 through fair pricing models and community empowerment programs under its non-profit arm, inVision.

As the partnership between inDrive and Evera unfolds, it is expected to drive meaningful change in India’s mobility landscape, setting new benchmarks for gender inclusivity and sustainable urban transportation practices.
