Hyundai Motor UK has unveiled the new i20, showcasing a refreshed design that includes a new front bumper and radiator grille shape and pattern, lending an elegant and sporty look. The updated i20 encompasses safety features and top-notch connectivity, presenting a comprehensive package for its segment.
Refreshed Design and Enhanced Appearance
The new i20 boasts a redesigned appearance with notable changes in the front bumper and radiator grille shape and pattern, enhancing the overall visual appeal. The rear features a redesigned bumper and distinctive taillight design, accompanied by newly designed 16 and 17 inch wheels. The standard LED front lights and Z-shaped LED rear lamps add a dynamic light signature, complementing the bold aesthetics.
Interior Comfort and Space
Despite its compact B-segment dimensions, the new i20 offers ample interior space and practicality. Customers can enjoy 352 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, extending to 1,165 litres with the rear seats folded down.
Expanded Colour Options
The new i20 presents an extended colour palette with nine exterior colours, including three new shades: Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl, and Meta Blue Pearl. The interior also features a new Lucid Lime colour package, offering a unique pattern and stitching.
Enhanced Connectivity
The new i20 comes equipped with enhanced connectivity features, making the in-car experience more convenient. USB type-C and Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates are introduced, along with popular features such as the 10.25” touchscreen navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless device charger, and the latest Bluelink telematics update.
Advanced Safety Features
The new i20 includes Hyundai Smart Sense safety features as standard. These features encompass Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) for various scenarios, Lane Following Assist (LFA), and more. Optional safety systems such as Rear Cross-traffic Collision Assist (RCCA), Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA), and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) offer additional peace of mind.
Simplified Powertrain Line-up
The new i20 offers a simplified powertrain line-up, featuring the turbocharged 3-cylinder 100PS engine with a choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
Range Realignment and Pricing
The i20’s range has been realigned, starting with the Advance trim priced at £20,770. The Premium trim starts at £22,570, offering enhanced features over the Advance trim. The i20 Ultimate trim, starting at £24,070, brings additional equipment and the Bose Premium Sound System.
