Hyundai India onboards 20 para athletes under its ‘Samarth Para-Sports Programme’

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) has onboarded 20 para-athletes under its ‘Samarth Para-Sports Programme.’ The initiative is jointly backed by GoSports Foundation which will extend structured support to the selected para-athletes for three years. The ‘Samarth Para-Sports Programme’ has been created to provide financial support, sports science support, assistance in procuring aids and appliances, soft skills training, and interaction with the best coaches and specialists.

The programme focuses on eight key sports categories: There are, indeed, many campaigns of Para-Athletics, Para-Swimming, Para-Badminton, Wheelchair Tennis, Para-Archery, Para-Rowing, Para-Canoeing, and Para-Cycling. Of 20 selected para-athletes, 15 are the new generation para-athletes aged 13 and above while 5 are elite para-athletes, aged 16 and above from different parts of India.
