Human Horizons’ HiPhi Z breaks records in world’s biggest EV range test

Human Horizons' HiPhi Z

In a recent EV range test organized by the Norwegian Automobile Federation and Motor magazine, Human Horizons’ HiPhi Z has emerged as a standout performer, covering an impressive 522km journey in challenging cold weather conditions. The test aimed to set an industry standard for electric vehicle range and charging speed, with the HiPhi Z surpassing its rivals and showcasing remarkable winter driving performance.

Leading the pack in EV range

The test sought to evaluate the electric vehicle’s ability to endure challenging winter conditions while maintaining optimal performance, and the HiPhi Z demonstrated its capability by achieving a range of 522km, even surpassing cars with theoretically longer WLTP certified ranges.

Efficient thermal management system

The key to this exceptional achievement lies in the HiPhi Z’s in-house developed Efficient Thermal Management System. The CrossLoop Efficient Thermal Management System, a product of Human Horizons’ advanced thermal integration technology, combines an efficient heat pump AC HVAC system with an intelligent and efficient E-Powertrain thermal management system. This integration results in an energy-saving, efficient, comfortable, and intelligent thermal system, placing HiPhi Z at the forefront of the industry.

Navigating challenging terrains

During the test, the HiPhi Z navigated the demanding Dovrefjell terrain, facing the challenges posed by storm “Ingunn.” Despite the road closure over Venabygdsfjellet, the HiPhi Z showcased exceptional endurance and comfort throughout the journey. The car’s performance, even in adverse conditions, highlights its robust design and capability to tackle diverse terrains.

Driver’s perspective

Simen Zimmermann, the testing driver, praised the HiPhi Z’s cabin for providing exceptional warmth and comfort throughout the journey. He noted, “It was only towards the end, the last kilometers, that it started slowing down. It glided smoothly over the mountain, passing several stopped cars from the test.” Zimmermann’s feedback reinforces the HiPhi Z’s ability to deliver a comfortable driving experience in challenging weather conditions.

Innovation and pride

Mark Stanton, Co-Founder, Chief Technical Officer, and European Program President of Human Horizons, expressed his pride in the HiPhi Z’s extraordinary achievement. Stanton stated, “Tireless innovation and unique technology development are at the heart of our company, and our team is not only proud of this recognition but also the exceptional comfort the HiPhi Z demonstrated.”

Setting a new standard

The exceptional performance of the HiPhi Z in adverse conditions signifies its potential to set a new standard for cold-weather endurance and performance in the electric vehicle sector. As the automotive industry undergoes continuous evolution, the HiPhi Z emerges as a noteworthy contender, showcasing its ability to redefine expectations in the world of electric vehicles.

Human Horizons’ HiPhi Z’s remarkable feat in the world’s largest EV range test underscores its capability, innovation, and readiness to meet the evolving demands of the electric vehicle market.
