New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled its latest offering, the 2023 Honda Livo, an urban stylish commuter motorcycle that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology, comfort, and an appealing design. With a starting price of INR 78,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Livo is poised to redefine the 110cc segment by offering a perfect balance between style, performance, and value.
The 2023 Honda Livo boasts a range of technological enhancements that elevate the riding experience while adhering to OBD2 compliance standards. Powering the Livo is a 110cc PGM-FI engine, supported by Honda’s innovative Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. The eSP integration includes a silent start with an ACG (Alternating Current Generator) starter motor, providing a jolt-free engine start. This is aided by the Swing Back feature, which allows the piston to gain momentum before ignition, ensuring effortless starts.
The Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system, equipped with intelligent sensors, ensures optimal fuel and air mixture, resulting in consistent power output, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. Further reducing frictional loss is the offset cylinder and roller rocker arm, which enhance power delivery and fuel economy. The inclusion of a piston cooling jet enhances engine cooling efficiency, contributing to better fuel efficiency.
The motorcycle’s comfort and convenience are prioritized through features like an Integrated Engine Start/Stop switch, allowing easy engine start and stop with a single switch. The DC headlamp provides constant illumination, enhancing visibility during slow-speed and night riding. The seating arrangement integrates seamlessly with the fuel tank, delivering added comfort and a comfortable ground clearance of 163mm. The 5-step adjustable rear suspension ensures a smooth ride, adapting to varying road conditions.
The 2023 Honda Livo also comes equipped with a Combi-Brake System (CBS) that optimizes braking performance by distributing braking force between the front and rear wheels, promoting safer and more controlled stops. The service due indicator notifies riders of the ideal time for vehicle servicing. The convenience of tubeless tires minimizes the risk of immediate deflation in case of a puncture.
In terms of urban style, the new Livo features a modern front visor, striking graphics, and an impressive tail lamp design, adding to its road presence. The tank design exudes a sporty character, complemented by chiseled shrouds.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is also providing a special 10-year warranty package, consisting of 3 years of standard warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty, underscoring the brand’s commitment to quality and peace of mind.
Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, stated, “We are confident that the new Livo will raise the bar of style, performance, and value in its segment.” Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, added, “Now infused with advanced technology, the 2023 Honda Livo is a perfect blend of style, comfort, and performance that meets the expectations of modern-day riders.”
The new Livo is available in both drum and disc brake variants, priced at INR 78,500 and INR 82,500 respectively (ex-showroom Delhi). Customers can choose from color options including Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Crust Metallic, and Black.
