German automotive interior specialist Grammer has introduced its newly developed centre console for the latest Mercedes-Benz GLC. Focused on seamlessly connecting the rear and the digitised cockpit, the Grammer centre console combines visual appeal with functionality.
The standout features of the Grammer centre console for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC include a butterfly lid, serving as a sophisticated cover for a storage compartment that matches the interior. The middle section of the console houses a spacious storage compartment along with a USB socket. The console also incorporates a dedicated carrier designed to accommodate the infotainment screen.
Jens Ohlenschläger, CEO of Grammer AG, emphasises the console’s design as a testament to their ability to integrate modern vehicle interior requirements. “The design of the centre console impressively demonstrates how we combine the requirements of modern vehicle interiors,” says Ohlenschläger. “In addition to a strong design that fits perfectly into the room concept, a high level of functionality is required. Our many years of development experience have helped us to translate customer requirements into a component that can be produced in large volumes.”
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Grammer centre console provides ample storage space, catering to the practical needs of drivers and passengers. The display carrier stands out as a key feature, ensuring optimal access to the infotainment system for both the driver and the front passenger.
