In a significant move towards advancing sustainable transportation in India, Gentari Green Mobility India has officially launched the Gentari GO app. This new digital platform, part of the clean energy solutions group Gentari, aims to provide a seamless and integrated customer experience by consolidating access to clean energy solutions, including home solar options and green mobility services.
The launch event, attended by key industry stakeholders, partners, and media, showcased the collaborative efforts that underpin the app’s capabilities. Notable strategic partners Numocity, Statiq, and ChargeZone were present, highlighting their crucial roles in expanding the app’s reach. Through this collaboration, Gentari GO users will have access to a network of over 1,500 EV chargers spread across India.
Navjit Gill, Gentari’s Country Head for India, emphasised the importance of partnerships in achieving net-zero emissions. “Collaborating with partners, customers, and governments is central to our mission. The launch of the Gentari GO app and the strengthening of our partnerships are key steps in our commitment to advancing clean energy across Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, and Green Mobility sectors,” Gill stated.
India’s transportation sector, a major contributor to carbon emissions, is a focal point for the country’s environmental goals. With road transport responsible for over 30% of emissions, India aims to reach 30% electric vehicle (EV) adoption by 2030 and significantly enhance its EV charging infrastructure.
Nikhil Thomas, CEO of Gentari Green Mobility India, underscored the app’s role in supporting India’s green mobility goals. “The Gentari GO app represents a pivotal milestone in our efforts to reduce carbon emissions from transportation. It provides tools for efficient decarbonisation and improved operational efficiency for businesses,” Thomas remarked.
The Gentari GO app features a range of benefits for both businesses and consumers. For businesses, it offers fleet operators access to a vast network of public chargers, business credits, and fleet management tools. Charging point operators can integrate with the Gentari GO roaming hub, expanding their customer base and increasing revenue. Additionally, car manufacturers and OEMs can enhance user experiences through features like Membership Passes, Credits, AutoCharge, Plug & Charge, and in-car integration.
Consumers will enjoy a user-friendly interface that simplifies the process of finding, activating, and paying for EV charging. The app also provides access to HomeScape by Amplus Solar for solar solutions and will soon offer in-app test drive bookings with leading EV brands. Users can earn points and redeemable incentives for their contributions to clean energy.
Gentari Green Mobility’s network spans over 920 charging points across Malaysia, Thailand, and India, and it has deployed more than 3,800 EVs through its Vehicle-As-A-Service (VaaS) model across India, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
